You talked. We listened. Based on our focus groups with teens,
PCAR got your insights on important issues like statutory

we launched a sexual violence prevention campaign geared

Music CDS
As a teen, music is probably central in your life. That’s why
PCAR made two music CDs just for teens:
• Xpose: the Truth is a CD of ten songs by Pennsylvania
artists. The CD contains songs aimed at putting an end to
sexual violence by providing hope for victims, educating teens
about rape prevention and sharing messages self-esteem.
Xpose’s breakout hit, “Gonna Make It” by J-Saint and Kelly B,
was turned into an Emmy-winning music video that addresses
incest, date rape, and sexual violence prevention. Throughout
the lyrics, J-Saint encourages victims to heal, promising,
“You’re gonna make it.”
Another track, “Survival Story” by Brett Greeger, also became
a music video. Greeger is dedicated to raising awareness and
eliminating sexual assault among men. This music video – the
first-ever to address male sexual assault – gives a powerful
voice and a message of hope to sexual assault survivors.
This CD was so successful, that we released a follow-up single
CD called Whatcha Gotta Know.
• Whatcha Gotta Know includes a CD-shaped pull-out pamphlet.
One side has tips on it for girls and the other side is for
guys. It provides tips about internet safety, healthy
relationships, being “date smart” and how to help if you know
someone who has been victimized.
